The Witches ...

... we were yesterday on the road.
The weather forecast was announced yes sunshine, so we just grabbed the backpack and are determined to Schierke moved into the resin to the chunks (with witches also known as block mountain ") to climb. On the way we have strengthened us as a First in Kukk i with pea soup from the field kitchen. We had indeed the shortest way over the plug hole selected because you have to be your strength, because that is the steepest road over a true mogul from granite blocks and slippery snow remains (but also most of the least populated). Only small crowds of Quakers waited by the roadside in every puddle on the walkers covered ;-). Quiet and beautiful nature with babbling streams.
Above we then paid us a great view in bright blue sky (here there but otherwise to 306 days in fog and cold wind!) And regional cyclists for the rigors of two-hour scramble .
The weather goddess meant well with us, what a super great day!
And what did you do?

What Is In Skoal Tobacco

allotment

the garden shortly after the takeover

Item 9 has finally met :-)!!
Now I am therefore under the allotment owners and vegetable breeders left.
There are still a lot to do. The "field" must zucchini, beans & Co. are prepared in the tool shed and there is still confusion. But we're only just beginning.
Last Saturday we schonmal first barbecue. The lawn is mowed by muscle power, which keeps you fit and lets the winter fat melt (hopefully). The dry reeds and bamboo from the previous year at the small pond is already cut off.
At home on the windowsill already delicate cucumber seedlings have seen the light of the world and also a small yellow cherry tomato grows even brave. If the melons are ripe in the greenhouse? And the Andean berries? I'm sooooo excited! Kristina has
from Sickenberg given us berry bushes (yellow raspberries, black currants, thornless blackberries ) and my father a few rhubarb plants I've planted.

Memorial Award of the State of Thuringia won! The Göttingen

The main house before renovation (photo: archive Bauer)

Hurrah! Kristina Bauer's farm Sickenberg won the Memorial Award of the State of Thuringia! Total earned, I think.

and after renovation

Kristina has tirelessly and often to the limits of their powers as possible this historic and Four side-yard listed with lots of love, self-employment and environmental material ( recycled ) restored and awakened from its slumber. And it was worth it as we see, is not it?

Congratulations Kristina !

can now score this wonderful Place with the special appearance to visit and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Nights in beautifully decorated rooms are also possible and very quiet, no noise at night as they could interfere (possibly even a barking dog) or lantern light sucks. Pure tranquility.

My tip: Visit
times the cozy little farm café, the cake is delicious mega :-)!

The garden of the Prince

In preparation for the Garden Days 2010 castle courtyard I took the motto of the castle courtyard-year "The garden of the prince" as inspiration for this quilt. Castle Court offers this year after 150 years, probably the first time the authentic garden world of Prince Eugen. Among the highlights of the event, including the garden courtyard of 13 days at Castle to 16 May Since last year I am participating as an exhibitor at the garden days, the always be a special experience. So please fill in the same calendar. I look forward to your visit! More pictures can be found at Michael's Photo Album .

I wish you a Happy Easter!
